The Rang Mahal or old palace, now houses the Himachal emporium. The old palace is an interesting mix of colonial and saracenic architectural style. There is not much information about the palace but one can buy rumals, with fine embroidery in silk, a traditional craft executed by the women of Chamba for almost 1000 years. Popular images portrayed on the cloth is that of Radha and Krishna, and those of the Gaddi shepherds.

The famous Chamba shawls can also be purhased here. The emporioum is open from Mon-Fri.
