The 'Petta Thullal’ of 'Kanni Ayyappas' is an important festival which is held in December/January. There is also an ancient mosque dedicated to ‘Vavar' who is considered to be the friend of Lord Ayyappa. The devotees going to Sabarimala visit this mosque.
