Kerala is a narrow strip of land between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats. People from far off lands have found their way to Kerala since ancient times. The coast was familiar country to the Phonecians, the Romans, the Arabs and the Chinese long before Vascoda Gama arrived. In fact, legend has it that Christianity was brought here by St. Thomas, the Apostle himself.
