Bhojpur is famous for it's exquisite, 11th century Lord Shiva temple and a lake built by raja Bhoj Paramara. Also known as the Somnath of north India, the temple has many images of Lord Shiva engraved on it's walls and houses an enormous Shiv-linga carved out of a single stone.
