Krishna Sanctuary is located near Avanigadda village, spread in to Krishna & Guntur district. It is at a distance of 80 km. from Vijaywada and is spread over an area of 196.81 sq. km. It is a mangrove forest in the estuary of krishna river.

Fishing cats, otters, jackals, estuarine crocodiles & a variety of birds are to be found in this sanctuary. Best months to visit are Oct-Feb.
