Nellore is on the eastern side of Andhra Pradesh. It has the famous Nelapattu Bird Sanctury.The birds that are found here are the grey pelican, that are seen nesting on Barringtonia trees in the tank bed. Other nesting birds include, cormorants, white ibis, night heron, open bill storks, teals etc

Another place of intrest is the Mypad beach, which is a few kms from Nellore.
