Dirang, a sub-divisional headquarters, is known for its apple orchards, sheep breeding farms and natural hot springs. The hot water springs are considered holy by some who travel to them for a dip. The Buddhist Kalachakra Gompa is nearby. Dirang is ideal for trekking and hiking.
