The Har Mandir Takh, one of the four sacred shrines of the Sikhs, stands in Old Patna. It is here that the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Gobind Singhji, was born. The original temple was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh, it contains belongings of the Guru and holy texts of the Sikhs. As a sign of reverence, it is also called as Patna Sahib.
