Located at a distance of 50 kms from Panjim, Arambol is one of the quitest beaches in Goa; except for sundays when people gather here for picnics. Initially a very primitive place, the beach has developed a little but is far from fully developed.

The seashore is beautiful and the village is quiet and friendly, with just a few hundred locals, mostly fishing people. It is a good swimming beach, few chalets are built on the surrounding hills. One can also enjoy the sport of para-gliding on the cliffs, located across the beach.
