Chapora & Vagator are one of the most beautiful and well known sites along the coastline of Goa. Chapora Village has several hills on top of which is situated the remains of some of the well-maintained Portuguese fort and the estuary of the Chapora River is also there. The view from it's ramparts are excellent. Much of the inhabited area nestles under a canopy of dense coconut palms.
Most beaches in Vagator face west towards the Arabian Sea. Little Vagator, the beach to the south, is very popular with travellers. |
