| Sannihit Sarovar (Kurukshetra) |
This dwelling of Lord Vishnu is believed to be the meeting point of all seven sacred Saraswatis. Having a bath in these water tanks on Amavasya days or on eclipses is said to be as sacred as performing the 'Ashvamedh yajna'. This site is also a place of moksha for unhappy and wandering souls.

The Gurudwara near Sannihit tank which is dedicated to Guru Hargobindi and Rajghat Gurudwara dedicated to Guru Gobind Singh's visit to Kurukshetra, are amongst the famous Gurudwaras. Gurudwara Sidhbati also is a famous place where Guru Nanak stayed when he visited Kurukshetra.

| Sthanesvara Mahadev Temple (Kurukshetra) |
This temple is marked for it's significance as the site where Pandavas received the blessings, for victory in Mahabharta, by Lord Shiva. This temple is located at Thanesar. The Narkatari temple, which is one and a half miles from Thanesar, is the place where Bhishma Pitama lay on bed of arrows.

This is birthplace of Bhagwat Gita. It is located at a distance of 5 km, from Kurukshetra railway station. Lord Krishna delivered Bhagwat Gita to Arjun here.

This site was called 'Prithudaka' in the epics of Mahabharta. It was named after King Prithu who prayed for the salvation of his father's soul here. This site is where the tradition of shraddha to fathers is offered. It is located 27 km west of Thanesar.

It is located 53 km from Kurukshetra. The locals call this place 'Furl'. A dip in the water tank here is said to bring wealth and prosperity. According to the mythology Lord Vishnu appeared here on request of Lord Brahma.

This town is named after the tenth son of Kardam Rishi, Kapil Muni. The 'Shankhya Shastra' was written by Kapil Muni. On the karthika purnima devotees gather near a sacred tank in kalayat.
