The Bhootnath temple is an ancient temple in Mandi. Since Shiva is also called the lord of Bhootas, thus the temple adores the God in this form. The pinnacle of it's dome is gold plated. In March, the festival of Shivratri is a major event and the Bhootnath temple is it's focus. For an entire week the town celebrates the arrival of hundreds of local deites on elaborately decorated palanquins.
