This gompa dominates the small Tibetan settlement in the south of the town. It is a relatively new monastery built in the late 1960's and is rather attractive too. It has some brightly coloured frescoes and a medium-sized Buddhist statue. On the outside wall is a list of Tibetan martyrs killed during the Chineese occupation of Tibet from 1987 to 1989. The gompa is also the centre of a small carpet making industry.
