Shashur Gompa, dedicated to Zanskari lama, is 3 km from Keylong. This gompa, of Gelukpa order, was built in the 16th century. The 5 mt thangka is famous in the region. The annual festival, held every June or July, is renowned for the mask dances performed by the lamas. Go Top
