Drokpa Circuit is 200 km from Leh. On the banks of the Indus near Khaltse live the Drokhpa, a pure Aryan race. Ethnically, linguistically, religious culturally at varience from the rest of Ladakh and those in the surrounding villages, these 2000 strong race occupies five villages, two of which, Dah and Biama, are in the circuit.
