Hari Parbat, a hill believed to have appeared at the spot where Goddess Parvati killed a demon. On this hill is the temple of Shirika Devi, who is believed to be a form of Durga Mata.

The Hari Parbat is surrounded by a fort constructed by the Afghan Governer, Atta Mohammad Khan between 1808-1810, on the top of the Hari Parbat or Koh-e-Maraan hill. The architecture of the fort is similar to that of the fort's in central Asia. The fort is a historical monument of Srinagar.
