Pangong Tso is 143 km from Leh. It is a huge, blackish water lake the hues of which change with the passage of the sun. Partely in India and partely in China, the lake can be visited in 1 hectic day. The other option is to halt for the night on the banks of the lake at Spangmik, the last village where villagers are allowed.
