Gulbarga is a city which retains its historic charms. The major attraction of the city is the fort which is very impressive with 15 towers and 26 cannons. To its southern entrance is a group of royal tombs. Within the fort is the Jumma Masjid, built on the lines of the great mosque of Cardova in Spain. Also of significance is the Khwaja Bande Nawaz tomb. Other sights include a library and some tombs.
