Ranganathittu, 18 km from Mysore, is a bird sanctuary, that houses exotic birds. This Sanctury is one of the three islands in the Cauvery river. Birds like storks, ibis, egrets, darters, spoonbills, and cormorants can be seen here. Birds from Siberia and North America also make their home here.
