Built in 1887, designed by Williams Stevens, this beautiful building looks more like an ancient palace than headquaters of the great Indian peninsular railway company. The designing and architecture resembles an 18th century church. It's domes, towers and spires are decorated with various delicately carved animals & birds. An imperial lion and an Indian tiger guard the front gate of this terminus, also known as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
