Dampa Sanctuary, founded in 1976 at the north-western tip of the Mizo hills, harbours many animals. The wildlife which can be seen here includes the: swamp deer, leopard, tiger, elephant, etc. The Hoolock gibbon can also be spotted here. The best time to visit this place is November to March.
