Jalandhar, a flourishing city under the Mughals, still has traces of its glorious past. Monuments in the city include the 800-year-old Imam Nasir Mausoleum, the Devi Tala and the 400-year-old Jama Masjid.
Jalandhar is so renowned for its sports goods that it is called the Sports City of India. Besides producing sports goods, the city is an important industrial centre.
