Merwara Estate, a little over hundred years, the palace here was built to overlook the Anna Sagar Lake. Highly influenced by European style of architecture, the palace has Belgian etched glass and the floors are done in Italian marble. The ceiling walls are richly painted in exquisite designs.

It has now been converted into a hotel, offering all modern comforts and several luxuries including a swimming pool and a conference hall.
