 11 kms from Pushkar, Ajmer is situated in the heart of Rajasthan. It was founded by Raja Ajai Pal Chauhan in the 7th century. Now, Ajmer is a very important pilgrimage; specially the dargah that houses the tomb of the 13th century Sufi saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti.
