Ramgarh, located 32 Kms from Jaipur, is a great picinic spot during the rainy and winter seasons. The landscape is beautiful when the lake is laden to the brim during the monsoons.
There is an old fort in Ramgarh but only the ruins remain now. There is also a hunting lodge built by the Kachhawahas, for they often set out on elaborate hunting ventures when they were not busy fighting. Known by the name of Ramgarh Lodge, this building also houses a museum and a library. The lodge has now been converted into a royal retreat by the Taj Group of hotels. Ramgarh is just the kind of place where you could tuck oneselfaway for a quiet and pleasant weekend.
