The imposing temple dedicated to the Goddess Parvati in her disguise as Kamakshi, the Goddess who accedes to all requests. To the right of the entrance is the marriage hall with it's ornate pillars. Directly ahead the main shrine is topped with it's more recent plating of gold.

The temple's 'car festival' is in February/March. Wooden carriages housing statues of deities are hauled through the streets in a colourful procession.
