Krabi lies some 800 km south of the Bangkok. It covers some 4,707sq km and edges the Andaman Sea. Visitors are attracted to this enchanting place of mysterious caves, waterfalls, pristine beaches and magical islands all crammed into one tiny province. There are beautiful sandy beaches, numerous offshore islands and even a beach entirely composed of prehistoric shells, millions of years old. The exotic beaches & the tranquil sea are the ultimate place for a totally relaxed holiday. For the adventurous sort activities like - kayaking, sailing, birdwatching, snorkelling and island hopping are available.
 
Krabi
can be termed as a new tourist place. It is being developed with a wide range of hotels and small bungalows to suite all budgets. Most accommodation is located around the beach areas of Ao Nang, Rai Ley and Phra Nang with some small local hotels in the provincial capital, Krabi town.
