The Golden Castle Resort was originally built as a court and adjoins the 18th century Pachar Fort. The resort resembles a European country mansion and the environs include sprawling lawns, sand dunes and a lake. It has interesting chambers like Diwane-Khas (dining hall) and the Rang Mahal (lobby) with its collection of old family portraits, paintings and arched doorways. The bedrooms are large and have a traditional style of decor. Boating and angling in the Ganpat lake, bird watching during winter, excursions to the temple of Khatu Shamji and nearby villages of Shekawati for local crafts, folk dances, camel and jeep safaris can be arranged. Other facilities available are coffee parlour and conference arrangements.
